Health and wellbeing has always been a passion and a big part of my life including fitness, diet and nutrition. Over the years some of my hobbies have included surfing, snow skiing, cycling, martial arts and running.
In 2011, I competed in the inaugural Max Challenge, in which I placed runner up. As a hard gainer and quite a skinny frame I had always found it difficult to gain muscle. I entered the Challenge as a goal to build a more muscular and athletic frame and be a positive role model to my two boys.

Max's has nurtured and supported me since the Challenge, where I have achieved two Australian Championship titles in two different sports, body building and beach sprinting.

Following my success in the Challenge I sought out further body building competitions namely INBA Men's Fitness and Men's Physique competitions. My achievements include:
2013: 4th place Men's Fitness Open, INBA State Championships
2014: 1st place Men's Fitness Over 30, INBA Sydney Super Show
2015: 1st place Men's Physique Over 40, INBA Australian Championships.

During the body building off-season, I pursue beach sprinting. From humble beginnings as an Age Manager for my son's nipper group at Warriewood Surf Life Saving Club, I was approached to join the competitive Masters beach sprint team and compete at local carnivals in both a relay and individual capacity. This progressed to State and Australian Championships. My achievements in this sport include

2013: Individual State Champion (age 40-45), Individual Australian Silver Medallist (age40-45), Team Relay Australian Champion (age group 140);
2014: Individual State Champion (age 40-45), Relay State Silver Medallist (age 170)
2015: Individual State Bronze Medallist (age 40-45), Relay State Bronze Medallist (age 170) Individual Australian Bronze Medallist (age40-45), Team Relay Australian Bronze Medallist (age group 140).
2016: Individual State Champion (age 40-45), Individual Australian Silver Medallist (age40-45), Team Relay Australian Champion (age group 170)
2017: Individual State Champion (age45-49), Relay state gold medallist (age 170), Individual Australian champion (age45-49), Team Relay Australian Champions (age 170). World master games Gold medallist (age 45-49) World Master Games relay champions (age 170).
2018: Individual State champion (age45-49), Relay state gold medallist (age 170), Individual Australian champion (age45-49), Team relay Australian Champions (age170).
