Reason to start The Challenge

Doing it with my husband to have a common project, get fit and mainly get into better healthier habits after having two kids in the last 21 months.

What did you like most about The Challenge?

It has pushed me to look after myself and get into a healthier lifestyle

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

Certainly being consistent. With two kids under two, I am lucky to go to the toilet on my own so finding the time to do exercises was the hardest. (add on a fully blocked nose for the first few weeks and sleep deprivation...)

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

I completely changed my nutrition habits. I used to snack on chips and lollies all the time.
By doing this, I have become a better example for my kids as I was told it's not what you feed them they remember but what they see you eat.
It has also made me feel good about myself. At 35, after having two babies in the last two years, my body just wasn't the same - reality is it never will but I am more toned now than I have ever been. So I am pretty proud of the result.

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

It's definitely worth it. Sometimes you just need that motivation to make changes and look after yourself. I would also add that I initially thought it was all about muscles - with the supplement factor - but the challenge is what you decide to make it.
If you are a couple, I would highly suggest doing it together as it makes it easier by taking away temptation and being on the same page.

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

As a mum, you tend to forget about yourself. Everyone and everything comes first. The challenge has obliged me to allow some time for myself.
To be honest, with short sleep, the first thing that comes to mind when you have a minute is sleep and eating comfort food (which isn't usually the healthier option) but I have realised that doing exercises and eating better has given me more energy. And building strength helps carrying the extra load (two kids)without hurting myself.
