Reason to start The Challenge

Having just completed the May 2017 challenge I felt that I just wasn't quite ready to continue on my own. I feel I still need the accountability and the structure of Maxine's to get the results I know I am capable of and want. I also don't want to slip back into old habits and undo all my hard work.

What did you like most about The Challenge?

I liked that everything was set out for me and all I had to do was follow the plan. The food was normal every day food not some odd way of eating. It was easy to follow and so healthy, loved all the greens. Again the exercise plan was great. It was easy to follow and handy having the option of home or gym workouts.

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

My mind. At times I would think why am I doing this? Why did I sign up again? Lots of little negative thoughts all at once. I had to regroup and settle myself, then once I was back in a good headspace I knew the answers to all the why's and pushed them out of my mind.

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

After having completed the May challenge, I knew straight away I was signing up for the next one. Seeing the results I achieved in challenge number 1, I wanted to continue to see what my body was capable of. Having now finished number 2 I know I can't or won't go back to old habits. I just love how I feel eating and training this way. I know that I am doing everything right for my body to be as healthy as it can, and there's no chance of going back. This challenge has taught me the correct way to be the best version I can be in a easy, healthy way.

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

Stop thinking more doing. At first it may seem like it's going to be a struggle, and 12 weeks seems a long time but once you get into the swing of meal prepping (which is a must) and a routine, it all fits in to place. Do it, best thing I've done for myself.

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

Thankyou Maxine's, you've shown me how to be a better version of myself and how to achieve this in a healthy manner. Not only has my body changed but my way of thinking has too. Never had I thought my body was capable of what I have achieved, only forward from here.

    Week 12, wow last week of challenge. What a ride. An exhausting one but an exciting one also. Due to a school excursion for my youngest daughter which I am chaperoning from tomorrow to Sunday, I have had to take my end of photo today. So not quite 12 weeks for me but I am happy with my results thus far and it doesn't end here. I'm eating healthy and exercising daily which is what it's all about. So with one week to go, give it your all challengers, good luck, and push hard💯💪🏋️‍♀️

    Just checked in, another 2kg gone. Sticking with nutrition 100% and training going well. Can't wait to see what the next 4wks bring, this is where the magic happens. Trust the process. Good luck with these last weeks challengers💪🏋️‍♀️💯

    3kg loss so far, happy with that. Nutrition and weight sessions are going really well. I love eating all this healthy food. Hoping to get the cardio happening a bit more, could be pushing myself a lot harder. Everyone is doing a great job and the check ins so far are amazing. Keep up the good work challengers🏋️‍♀️💪💯
