Reason to start The Challenge

I'm doing the challenge because I want to look and feel good again. Barely any of my clothes fit properly anymore. I want to get my fat down to about 20% its currently 35% and get my weight down to about 60 kg.

What did you like most about The Challenge?

I loved absolutely everything about the challenge. It is so well resourced and there is so much information on offer that I never got bored I was continuing to learn right throughout it which I loved. The challenge community is absolutely fantastic. And supportive. That group of people who I got to share their journeys with really helped to push me along. I could log onto facebook any time of the day or might and see someone training really helped me stay motivated and focussed. The coaches are exceptional! very approachable and generous with their time and information. I loved being a part if it.

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

Probably the hardest thing for me to begin with was having faith in the process and trusting that it would work. My biggest fear was what if I did everything I was told and it didn't work?? Seems ridiculous now but I was really worried about that. However pushing through the first couple of weeks I began to feel better and start to see some changes quite quickly so I stuck at it and the longer I did the more change I saw. I kept hearing the words 'Trust the process' on the facebook page and I decided that I would do just that. I tend to over analyse things so for me letting go and just doing what I was told was difficult but then I began to enjoy it and then started to push boundaries in other areas of my life and take chances I usually would not rake which has been a real growing experience for me.

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

The challenge has turned my life around I was feeling so heavy, flat and tired before I started. Now I'm full of energy up every morning at 4.30am for training. I sleep well and feel in control of my life. I'm about to turn 52 in a couple of weeks and I am fitter and stronger than I have been in years. I have a new confidence in myself I feel powerful and know I can do anything I set my mind to.

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

Don't over think it. Just commit 100% for 12 weeks and you will see miracles!

I would like to say a huge thank you to Steve, Helen and Merri for everything they have done to make this challenge a wonderful and life changing experience for me.
