Reason to start The Challenge

After having my third baby I am feeling very out of shape and over weight. I want to re claim my body and my confidence. I have three beautiful children 6, 4 and 6 months and refuse to use the saying "oh I've just had a baby" anymore. I am ready to accept the challenge and smash it

What did you like most about The Challenge?

I loves the support of the other challengers and the predictability of everyday diet

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

Cutting out foods that I previously thought were healthy

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

It has given me more confidence and self worth than I have ever had in my life. I have a better relationship with food and my children are making comments about food that just blow me away

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

Be prepared through out the challenge, trust the process and have faith in yourself

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

I have enjoyed this experience so much and has exceeded my expectations. 12 weeks ago I had never even looked at a weight let alone lifted it but doing this challenge has fired up a new passion for me. I now strive to get stronger every time I train and give my all so I gain the best results for my mind and body. Starting the challenge just 5 months post my third child I was in the worst shape I had ever been in and I am truely amazed at what my body has been able to do

OMG today was horrible. I felt shakey and on edge all day. Felt as though I had low blood sugars from the moment I got up and just couldn't shake it. Kept my nutrition on points but was bloody hard. Rest day from weights but did my fasted cardio. I have the feeling this week is going to be bloody hard but I will not let it beat me. I've got this challenge by the horns and have no intention of letting it go until the end 💪🏻

Well I never thought I'd see the day but got up at 5.30am this morning and went to a gym group class. Even the hubby couldn't hide his surprise when I said I was going 😂😂 was great but did crash about lunch time and felt a bit tired but pushed thought and did upper body tonight. The feeling when you nail your training for the day is amazing. Nutrition is pretty much always on point so got that down pat. Feels great to be on the other side of the flu and can finally breathe again and begin to finish off this challenge with a bang. Come on women you got this 🙌🏻💪🏻

First time in a week today that I managed cardio. After having the flu I found I just couldn't breathe through any sort of cardio sessions. So it was weights every day last week. Scales have gone up this week which has frustrated me and I feel as though my results have plateau'd. Ready to hit the next two weeks hard 💪🏻💪🏻

That damn sore throat got me good. Full flu 😭😭😭 my body is aching and I feel so crap. Hard to keep nutrition on point when I am struggling to keep it down. I know how important fuelling my body is so I am trying my hardest. Managed upper body today but no cardio. I am worried I am not going to be able to shake it when I am already so run down 😭 I will dig deep and push where I can and try my best to get my food in. Fingers crossed my body over comes and kicks it soon

Last day of week 9 and boy did I find today hard. Kept my nutrition on point but it was a battle all day. Feel like I've been running on empty for the last few days. Feel like my body is using the food as soon as I put it in my mouth. I guess that's a good sign. My body is starting to fatigue and is very sore last couple of days. Took a full rest day today which was good not even any doorway chin ups today. Need to listen to my body. Also trying to fight off a sore throat that just seems to keep looming 😩 Staying focused on the end game and keep telling myself to bring it home strong 💪🏻

Measurements done and a further 9cm down. Not as much off my midsection as I'd liked but will keep powering til the end. Total 27cm and 5 kg lost in 8weeks. Still Hoping to achieve my 8kg loss goal by the end 😬

First day of the new program love the extra almonds 😀 Doing upper body, HIIT cardio and my chin up challenge was tough but got it done. PT tomorrow legs still sore from last leg session 😱 Gotta stay focussed and work with everything I have for this last 4 weeks.

Well 8 weeks down and check in down. Feeling very proud of how far I have come but still have so much I want to achieve in only 4 weeks. I am ready to push myself to the absolute max to finish off. Anything extra I can do I'm doing it. I've shown myself over the last 8 weeks that I am capable. Looking forward to doing my measurements Tuesday. And although the training program is daunting for the next 4 weeks I'm ready for it bring it on

First day of week 8 and spent 10 hours in the car driving back from Byron bay but kept my food on point other than my chicken salad came out and had dressing on it 😫 But that's ok will be home tomorrow and nutrition will be back to 100%. Had a rest day today and trained Sunday instead. Caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror tonight and saw some baby abs forming 😱 Very excited hoping like hell the progress keeps going

Cardio today and gosh did I struggle. Went for a run but was 30 degrees and I felt like i couldn't breathe the whole time. Ended up walking for about a KM of it so did a 25 min TABATA this afternoon as well. Nutrition was great today. Need to get back home so I can get right back on track

Starting to see some small improvements in my arm definition. Man do they take time 😖 Just completed arms session at the gym, did HIIT last night and legs the day before. Even though I'm on holidays I'm still pushing forward. Nutrition is pretty good would say 95% last couple of days but today was back to 100% and intend to keep it there. Loving the family holiday but also keen to get home and fully back on track

After 3 days of travel finally arrived in Byron bay. Did pretty well nutrition wise. Stuck to my allocated foods and snacks and had no extras in between. One of my lunches was a chicken stir fry but had let myself get so hungry the portion size was too big. And did have one dinner that had some dressing on the salad but other wise pretty happy with my self. Missed one cardio day but pushed myself extra hard on my run today and did and extra km and improved my pace by 26 seconds per km to try and make up for it. The next week is going to be a challenge but I know I can do it 💪🏻🙌🏻

Worked extra hard in PT this week as going away tomorrow for a week and a half with the family. Feeling nervous about missing PT next week but will go to the gym for all my workouts and will keep my food strict. Got 4 unassisted chin ups in a row today and can start to see some back muscles showing. Very exciting times

Weekly weigh in today and I've dropped 1.2kg since last week. That's my biggest weekly weight to date. Starting to feel leaner and getting compliments from people which is really nice. Loving that I am starting to fit into some pre pregnancy clothes to. Still a long way to go to get to where I want to be but well on the way. Tried some hill sprints today. They were tough but completed more that I thought I would. Will give them another go next week and see if I can improve

Big day today. Nieces first birthday lists of yummy foods but took my lunch and stuck to just that. Came home did cardio competed my whole run without stopping once. Then off to a 40th. Ate my tea in the car on the way there and kept my bottle of water close by and avoided temptation yet again. Winning 🙌🏻🙌🏻. Off to bed now for a much needed snooze

What a day. My PT absolutely slammed me in today's session but it felt so good to get through it. She also did my 4 week measurements and I have lost a massive 18cm from my body. Could not believe it. Absolutely stoked with myself. I have working so hard in training and with the nutrition and that was just the motivation I needed to keep going. Yay me 🙌🏻

Tried tabata today for the first time. Quite liked it. Was wrecked afterwards so that's a good thing. Also finished the day off with pole class. Working hard on getting my strength back post baby. Great day with food and am just enjoying a cup of hot cocao. Quite bitter but still yum. Come at me week 5 💪🏻

Week 4 check in complete. I see some small changes but secretly hoped I would see more but need to remember only week 4 but does in some way make me doubt how much I will actually change after 12 weeks. But I will stay positive and keep smashing the challenge. I am sticking to the nutrition plan to a tee and I'm working 100% on the workout front. I am down 2.2kg on the scales and will do my measurements with my PT Tuesday. Keep focusing on the small changes I've had 🙌🏻

Had daughters cheer comp today in Melbourne. Surrounded by fast food but did not get tempted. Stuck to the food plan like a trooper. Cardio today did an extra km on my run and pushed my self super hard as I missed Thursday's cardio. Will do 4 week check in tomorrow. Nervous about the results but keep reminding myself it's only week 4 still plenty of time for more change

Had to spend all day at the hospital yesterday with a friend. But kept my food to the plan aside from having an extra Apple on the 2 hour drive home. I took my own lunch with my and didn't stray at the cafe was so proud of myself. I never thought I would have the discipline to do that. I have another big day on Melbourne tomorrow for my daughters cheer Comp and will take my snack and lunch again and will smash yet another day. I have had a few people comment that the diet I am doing it not maintainable but I couldn't disagree more. I am not finding it too hard at all 🙌🏻

Well into week 4 and continuing to power ahead. Feeling full of energy and positivity. Seeing little changes in my body and starting to think this is possible. The fam had pizza on Saturday night and was not one bit tempted. Had my chicken and veg around the table as a family still and was surprised at how easy it was to resist. Loving the journey so far

Last day of week 3 tomorrow. Can't believe it. I have not faulted with the food side of things and have not missed a training session. Can feel myself getting stronger during my weights sessions and improving in my cardio. Not really even feeling tempted by foods. Going strong 🙌🏻🙌🏻 fingers crossed I keep this up

Can not believe I survived the first week. Not only the food but the training. In the past I would have found any reason to get out of my PT session but now I am hanging out for each session. Staying focused and just taking it one day at a time 🙌🏻💪🏻
