Reason to start The ChallengeThere are so many reasons why I have entered the challenge.Firstly, I want to a good example to my children in relation to all thing’s health and weight. There are so many fads out there and my little girl is already worried about her weight, so I really want to be a healthy example for them and demonstrate what healthy and fit should look like.I need to lose weight – Dr’s orders! I have been told that I very high cholesterol and that I need to lose weight and lower my cholesterol especially because family history with severe heart disease. So, losing weight is no longer just something I want for myself, I actually need to get my health in order and maintain it if I want to avoid medication or future health concerns. Finally, I really want to lose weight, get fit and strong and reach my goal of fitting back into my size 10 clothes. I have a wardrobe full that I have not been able to wear in years. I want to look and feel fit, healthy and toned, to match how I feel on the inside. I also want to look fab in a bikini! Also super excited ..., because my husband is doing this challenge with me.... so it will be a family lifestyle change. Very excited about having “becoming healthy” a family goal!Good luck to all the other Challengers!
I love how much you learn about exercise and nutrition. The support from the coaches as well as the the other contestants makes the journey not only informative but fun.
For me it was injuries and this round lack of equipement due to covid-19. I became creative and used household bottles and sand to make my weights heavier.
The challenge is life-changing! It has helped me not only to transform my health and body, which in turn has increased my confidence and happiness!
Do it! Don’t wait just start!
Thank you for all the support and advice, especially during this Covid-19 pandemic when the Maxines team shared so many tips and little videos to help us get through this crazy time, encouraging us not to quit and provided is with so many home training alternatives.
Some comparison pics of my journey😍💕🙌🌴
The scales went down by 5.5kg 😍🙌🌴
No more BLT’s (bites licks and tastes 😳) With so much emotional personal stuff going on..... I lost a little bit of mojo this week!
I also have a very VERY annoying injury in my right shoulder..... I watched Coach Steve’s injury video.... and my guess is inflamed bursa..... so a bit of a spanner in the works! But I am in this for the long run now.... so I do what I can.
Re-Focus time for me though..... was a rough week..... (I won't tell you my sob story - because ultimately my choices are still my choices) So yes ... not the best week.... but I am not quitting.
I don’t see a huge difference between weeks 4 and 8...... but I feel very different! I feel strong and fitter and healthier! My weight has finally started budging just a smidge! Ready to rock out the next 4 weeks!
Have been stuck with the scales..... but I made a choice this week! I know I am doing the work and eating on point..... so if my body is responding slowly..... so what! I am making progress!
On the forum I got advised to try and really focus on my food! and also add some HITT 3 times a week post training! It’s a kicker so lets hope it gets things moving again!
Otherwise I am feeling fitter, stronger and definitely more toned. I sleep better and my mood is much better too! 💕❤️🤗😁
I had my hormones adjusted this week too.... my bloods showed my estrogen levels were extremely low.... so lets hope this helps too as this can slow down fatloss!
It is what it is and I am happy with my progress!
Happy School Holidays
I have been so busy with life that I have neglected journalling!
But I have been working hard in the back- ground! So lets do this! Halfway ... let’s go!
Week 4 Check-inn
Forward it forward 💕
Scales not budging much..but clothes feeling better.... I have been switching between T&S and GS training - torn because I like GS but have not got much equipment..... hmmmm not sure what to do.... I have to lock it inn this week 🤷🏼♀️😜
I cannot even express in words how annoyed I am with myself to look like this again! BUT on the other hand my entire mindset has shifted! I am focussed and totally compliant to the plan..... I am in this not just for this comp.... but for the long term. Steady pace wins the race💕🌴
OUCH! At least I know exactly where I am at!
Mindset good... relaxed and focussed 💕👌
I have had a good week..... Consistent focussed yet flexible.
Yesterday I did not train due to unexpected guests... so today instead of a split.... I did a full body. Simple. Not perfect..... but reality.
Meals 100% on track
Water and sleep also pretty good.... although need more sleep. happy with scales moving down too. ❤️💕
5am woke up
Urgh.....how can I be back here? Anyway ... Day 1.
