Reason to start The Challenge

To assist with my health and well-being as I have an extreme estrogen dominance problem. Also turning 50 this year so want to see what I can achieve with my body

What did you like most about The Challenge?

After a rough time with health and doctors trialling medication, I gained over 10kgs. Feeling devastated and depressed and very unwell, I decided to go back to what I know works for me. The structure, plans, flexibility and support is what keeps me on track. It gives me boundaries and a routine in my life that is simple and easy to follow, with little room for failure. It also fits into my family's lifestyle.

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

Although not in control of my health and crazy hormones, I thought I would come back to do what I knew worked for me. Maxines! Although I have been on a range of toxic medications, had many trips to various drs for constant testing I pushed through and literally dragged myself onto my home gym. Dizziness, vomiting, bloating, extreme migraines and joint pain, insomnia ... the list was endless and to say I had to dig deep was an understatement. The mind games were the roughest I had to encounter in my life. Was this worth it? I had to remind myself on a daily basis WHY I was doing this. For my health both physically and mentally.

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

I am back!! I have worked so hard and I have shown myself what I can do with determination, hard work and a hell of alot of resilience. No sessions missed and all approved nutrition at all times. And the result is 10.8kgs down and approx 90cms lost overall. Its sometimes hard to see your progress and change when you struggle each day but I know I gave it my all and even though I am my own worst critic, I can truly say I have not only transformed my body but my mind and the way I tackle those tough times. Self talk even harsh at times is needed and an understanding that you can do whatever you put your mind to is what makes you push through. It is easy when things are going well, but when things are tough, this is when you show your strength of character. This challenge showed me mine!

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

What are you waiting for? This is a plan that you cannot fail at. We are all on different journeys. Some want to lose weight, some want to regain their health and well-being, some want the hard rock muscle built body they have always dreamt of, and some of us want to feel healthy and good in our own skin. It doesn't matter. You can adapt it to what your goals are. You will leave the 12 weeks learning something new and even if you are not exactly a supermodel at the end of it, have will have started your journey to a healthier, stronger, fitter and happier you.

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

Support is the key and there is so much here. It is amazing the resources, the advice from quality coaches and the care and inspiration from fellow challengers that you will receive here.

    Flex Fridays ... so much growth throughout the challenge. You sometimes don't see it but others will point it our or you will start to notice that improvement and learning

    Enjoying the journey, embracing the community and the experience of the challenge. Feeling the benefits from wearing a tutu on Tutu Tuesday, getting the daily 10000 steps with regular walks with my hubby or wearing those special dresses that haven't fit for a long time. WINNING 💪🥰
