This will be my 5th challenge in a row. I love that the challenge gives me something to focus on and the Maxine's community (which has become like a another family) gives so much support and motivation. Its a great way way to help me continue to chip away at my goals of becoming stronger in my mind and body.
The training! I absolutely love knowing what i need to do before i even step into the gym each day. Not having to think about what needs to be done, just get in there and get it done. Also being able to track all of your data like your weights, reps and sets for each workout and easily compare to the week before to see your improvements is great. And the fact that you can easily manipulate the spreadsheets to change exercises if you don't have the right equipment or machine. They are so versatile and will be something i'll refer back on and use again and again.AND without a doubt the facebook group community and the amazing support, motivation and encouragement that it gives. I have made friendships and connections with people from all over Australia and I feel like I have known them for years. I will continue to be inspired by these people and in turn I hope I can inspire others too.
My life is very busy! Through winter months we have kids sport all day on Saturdays and as a full time working Mum who also volunteers a lot of hours a week to our local sporting clubs, it only leaves Sundays to meal prep. But that was also the day that all of our other jobs get done too so it made for a very busy Sunday which was exhausting after a long week. However I kept meal prep very simple this time which made things a bit easier.
This is my 5th challenge in a row each time I find that it gets a little easier and more familiar and I now don’t feel like I’m dieting, it’s just the way I eat. I love that no food groups are eliminated and I can fit in the foods that I love.I have never needed the motivation to get to the gym each day but the training programs and the community/ mentors have given me so much more knowledge and belief in myself and what I am capable of in the gym.I am about to turn 40 at the end of this week and at the beginning of this year I was dreading it. After completing this challenge and giving it my all, I can honestly say that I feel the healthiest, strongest and fittest I have ever been in my life and I can finally say I like what I see in the mirror.
Just do it. If you don’t get everything out of the first one you do, sign up again and give it another go. I have never been able to achieve dramatic results in the challenges, but I have slowly chipped away making a little more progress each time and gaining strength, confidence and knowledge along the way.Use the facebook group as inspiration and motivation and soak up the ideas on food and meal prep and just jump in and give it a go.I would also highly recommend finding a mentor or reaching out to the ambassadors for help and guidance. The first few challenges I did on my own and although I loved it and still got results, the extra help from the mentors have been a game changer for me.
I would like to send out a huge thank you to the mentors and challengers who I was lucky enough to work with during this challenge. It has been my most enjoyable challenge so far and that is hugely due to the support and inspiration these people provided.
