Reason to start The Challenge

I entered the challenge on 2014 and had amazing results, which I was able to maintain for a long time afterwards. Unfortunately I had to have major surgery and lost my mum in the same year which made me lose myself. I'm now back on track and want to get back to my healthy happy self.

What did you like most about The Challenge?

The challenge structure and simplicity. When there was a lot going on I really appreciated how the challenge plan was so straight forward, there was nothing complicated about it and having a set plan made it so much easier to stick to and follow.
I also loved the variety in the menus, as someone who can get bored with food easily, I loved how there was a wide range of food and the recipes all tasted amazing which I know I will then be able to keep up now the challenge is over.

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

I tore a hip flexor in week 9 which restricted the amount of leg exercises I could do and this frustrated me at times as I had been progressing really well. I found it really hard to force myself to rest and on a couple of occasions I thought I could try some exercises and just ended up in pain.

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

I am feeling so much more motivated and I love that I can fit into my clothes again. I had been wearing stretchy boring clothes and felt old before my time, so I am so happy I can wear the clothes that give me confidence again.
After having to have a hysterectomy I began to feel sorry for myself and let myself go, which made me uncomfortable and was also affecting my overall health. I have a heart condition and due to the extra weight I had been really struggling to exercise and had been having breathing difficulties. Now as a result of the challenge I am a healthy weight again and have been able to go out running, even my cardiologist commented on my progress.
The challenge is so much more than a weight loss plan though, the support that is provided through the forum and in the Facebook group is amazing and that's why I feel that the program is so successful.

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

Anyone who is thinking of completing the challenge should take the opportunity and have a go. The challenge has all the tools you need to start your journey and the support provided by Challenge mentors and the community is amazing. This plan can truly be life changing and it works!

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

The challenge was just what I needed to get back on track and this is not the end I will be completing the September challenge and I can't wait to see what is in store for the future.
