Get Strong - Intermediate

Reason to start The Challenge

I've joined the Maxine's Challenge because I had such great results the first time with the tone and shape program and thought Id really like to come back and do the get strong program and really shape and finish off what I started last year.
I want to really make my two toddlers and husband proud and be a role model for them and show them that Mums can be fit and strong too!
Not only do I love the physical aspect of the challenge but it really helps with my mind set. I really believe when your working out and eating right it has a flow on affect into life.
Im ready to show that I might be small in stature but I'm a strong woman physically and mentally and love being an inspiration too others.

What did you like most about The Challenge?

What I liked most about the challenge was that it helps me push myself that extra bit. Having the nutrition plan and and gym program really helped me keep myself on track.
The positivity and support you get off the Coaches, ambassadors and the wider Maxine's and Max's community
I also love how friends and even strangers come up to me and tell me how I have inspired them to take up the challenge to better themselves and make a greater change.

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

The hardest thing about the challenge were the days where I'd just be busy with my day to day life with work and my kids. I just had to tell myself I owed my health and fitness an hour or 2 to the gym each day and afterwards I always felt so much better for getting it done!

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

The challenge has had a major impact on my life as it's inspired me to reach further with my health and fitness goals and I hope to compete in pysique comps when I find the right coach.
Im waking up with a more positive approach to my life and not feeling as tired as I was. My children have a mum that wants to run around and the whole family is eating better

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

Just sign up ! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. You'll feel much better for it and there is so much support. If I can do it anyone can !

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

The Maxine's challenge has changed my life for the better. Im so glad I signed up to my first challenge last year and Im now living a more healthier and active life. Doing the challenge has had flow on a effect into so many other areas of my life. My husband now has his confident wife back and my children have there active happy Mum back.
I've made some amazing and inspiring friends doing the challenge and everyone has so much love and support for each other.
Thank you to the Challenge team for helping me take control of my life !

Well here I am at week 4 !! I haven't really got on here to do many journal updates but I have been completing my challenge diary. It has been so helpful and really keeping me accountable for my training and nutrition.... oh and the amount of water I'm drinking. Something I have always been so bad at but with recoding it I'm making Sure I reach my amount needed. Also I really think filling in my challenge diary has helped me keep track of my weights and knowing how much I've been going up each week ! So far I've been really loving the Get strong program. It's been great seeing my body grow in a way I've never seen it be before.. Sure I've been a thin adolescent girl before, even a mum carrying extra kilos... but being a strong woman both inside and out, now that's something I've never been! The other day I finally reached 12.5 kg on my DB press which is the highest in weight in the woman's section of my gym. I've been aiming for it for awhile and I'm finally there ! Now my next mini goal will be getting down stairs into the mixed part of my gym where the magic happens . All my meals and training has been 100% ...... umm actually I did steal a grape from my son today so .... The only negative that I had over the 4 week wasn't even really my negative and it was when my husband, who's also doing the challenge, tore his pec muscle and really can't do much of the challenge for 6 weeks. I feel so deflated for him and I was so excited to be going through this journey together. I really hope I can at least keep him feeling positive and help with his recovery. So that's me for now... Goals for the next 4 weeks are..... -Make time for online journal -Drink 8 glasses of water a day -Go to be earlier -Keep on track with fitness and meal plan -Complete all reps -Family walk once a week or activity -Increase weights every week - keep filling in diary every week . Ps I'm getting a booty πŸ‘πŸ‘ŒπŸΌπŸ˜‚ Side note... in the pic attached to journal the left side is from my check in from first Challenge. Sometime I can't bribe how far I've come

    16 Burpees
    31 Push Ups
    30 Crunches
    36 Alternate Lunges
    105 Plank
    33 Jump Squats
