Reason to start The Challenge

I have really let myself go and want to take charge of my life and body. We have / had gotten in to a really bad habit of getting take out for tea almost every night, skipping meals and drinking next to no water. We need this challenge to get back to a balanced life style.

What did you like most about The Challenge?

The ease of sticking with the challenge!! Even through events ect I was able to adjust! I loved it!

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

Work / life just want to go home and work out! It’s addictive

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

The changes in mine and my husbands energy and spirits!! We are so much happier and brighter!

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

Absolutely do it!! It’s over so quickly and really is very easy to follow. Get your family involved and let them know the importance of the lifestyle changes you are committing to. If they are involved it makes your journey so much easier. Do it for you!

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

I am so happy that my husband agreed to do this challenge with me. I’m so proud of us both and I’m really looking forward to the next round. I’m so happy and focused! It’s been a long time since I have felt like this!! I hope my photos not to dark!!!!!

    I’m 58kg!!!!! Have not been this weight for 8 years and what I was doing to keep it there was not the healthy sustainable way either. I weighed myself yesterday afternoon after a day of eating and drinking (water) so was happy to still be at 58.5 but 58 😊 wow! Getting my tan on again today for our holidays tomorrow!! So exciting 😊😊

    I didn’t realise you could still do this!! 😊 Week out from challenge and I’m about to have my coffee and head in to the shed for my weekend workout session 💪👌🏋️‍♀️ Been a crazy week at work but my food and workouts have been spot on 😊 The only thing I have adjusted for now is rather than doing 4 sets I’m doing 3. My tummy is still playing up but I think that’s stress related. I feel so damn good and to be honest I don’t think I’ve ever felt this at ease and just good.... ☺️ I’m still 58.5 so I think that for the May challenge I will get body scans if I get a chance. I can’t wait to see what I can achieve in the next challenge. I’m even more excited to see what my husband can achieve now that we have had a damn good go we know what to tweak. We both need to ensure we are eating a little more and I need to drink more water 😊😊 This challenge truly is life changing if you want it to be 😍

    Sunday funday 😊 I’m suprised at how big your muscles look with a tan on 😂 My son took a quick photo of me before I went to workout and it had us both in tears laughing at it. Looks like someone is standing behind me flexing 😂💪 I made a rookie mistake and lifted my usual heavy before my photos and I just couldn’t make my muscles pop like the should have so will give it another go tomorrow after work or first thing in the morning after my workout depending..... my husband and I have decided that we will see out this challenge till we go away on holidays then when we get back we have a few days then it is May challenge 👍👍👍 I will be setting goals and I have a pretty awesome finishing gift to myself to for after the challenge around October 🥥🥥 I’m super happy that my weights just in the 58’s no complaints there it’s been a while that’s for sure!!!!! Bed time for me, fingers crossed 🤞

    Getting my tan on..... thinking I should of gone the spray tan, so sticky 😂 hubby’s on night shift so I had to make do for my back 🤔 fingers crossed it turns out ok!! My body has decided that it likes to throw curve balls and every check in to be that time of the month 😂 crazy thing is my period has not been regular for over 7 years and all of a sudden decides to be regular nice work 🤔 Anyways, I’ve been a tad flat this week with lack of sleep, working longer hours and a bit of stress from changes at work but still got up every day to workout and ate my meals 😊 I’m super happy with the fact that I have stuck to the plan and pushed through every week with a smile on my face and fire in my belly!! I’m signing up to May challenge tomorrow and really looking forward to kicking some more goals and then treating myself with a huge reward at the end of the May challenge 😬😬😬 This tan is so sticky 🤔😬😭🤦‍♀️ Looking forward to my workout in the morning then I have to go to work then I will be going shopping with my little man and home for some cardio and cleaning! Mum life 😝😁💓 2 more days to go 👌👍🏋️‍♀️😄

    *TMI* Got home and while getting the shower ready for my son did the usual strip down out of uniform to underwear and did a double take of myself in the mirror! I didn’t recognise the reflection of my body in the mirror!! That was a bit different to say the least 😊😊😊 I hope that by the weekend this bloating doesn’t turn in to my period because I’d love to not have a bloated tummy for my final photos!! 🤞🤞🤞 I can’t believe this is the last week of the challenge, I’m pretty impressed with myself for seeing it through and even more impressed that my Husband was with me all the way!! 💓 I did a flex comparison from first week work out (bottom photo) to now after work no workout (top photo) put together. In the photo there’s not a huge change but I know in person my arms are coming along slowly but nicely 👌💪🏋️‍♀️

    Struggled this week with energy again but got all my workouts done n dusted! 👍💪🏋️‍♀️ I hope by next week my tummy is not still bloated.... Starting to get nervous but will trust the process!! Signing up to next challenge this Thursday 😊😊

    So this week has been interesting! Been up n down energy wise, caught the flu but kicked it’s butt super quick thankfully!! Today had me, my husband and our son doing a workout together 😍🏋️‍♀️💓 oh and our puppy! Was a tad hectic but super cute! Bed time now! Here’s to 2 more weeks so keen to see what I can do in 12 weeks and I’m really looking forward to the next round in May 😊💪😍🏋️‍♀️🏆

    I can still feel the remaining tightness of the conditioning workout that I did on Sunday in all the right places 😂👌💪 I’m lacking a bit of energy at the moment but am still feeling positive. I’m bloated atm again which is frustrating. finally got Max night time back in stock I was so excited to have my mug cake last night (been 2 weeks with out) I bloated up straight away, my husband thinks it’s the baking powder so I will give it a go today with out or maybe just make a shake instead. It’s so good!!!! 🤤 Working out every day seems to make the week go quicker and this sounds a little bad but I really look forward to the weekends now because I get to take my time working out and really enjoy that!! I have changed my rest day to Thursday so I get two days where I can really smash it out in my own time with not time restrictions. I’m looking forward to holidays soon and hopefully I can keep this bloating under control!!

    Feeling pretty good today 😊 triceps are tight and I’m a bit fatigued but still feeling good 👍 Did conditioning (squat) workout today and finished of with a 40min walk on the treadmill. On a bit of a high today because I woke up and looked super trim and am 59kg! It’s been a bloody long time since I have been below 60!! Stoked 😁 This week has been a bit up and down, if I was not doing this challenge I would not have copped as well as I have that’s for sure!! I am so happy that my husband and I joined this challenge it really has changed the dynamics in our day to day lives 💏 I am looking forward to the next one to as this one has gone so bloody fast!! 3 more weeks to go! Fingers crossed 🤞

    OMG that Back, Arms and Ab’s Work out is long and you can definitely feel it afterwards! Did tag on a 45min walk on the treadmill to 👌😊🏋️‍♀️ Feeling really good and doing my absolute best to trust the process! 3 weeks to go, then a week after the challenge we are off on holidays then we get home for a week then it’s Challenge on again! 😊😊😊 Loving it!!!!!!

    8 week check in..... I had a awesome workout this morning topped off with 50min on the treadmill. I deadlifted more than my weight which was great! I thought I would see more of a difference in my photos but so I’d better get my game face on and smash out this last 4 weeks!! The only thing I have changed this 4 weeks is my focus on weights instead of cardio..... so only doing 1 or 2 cardio sessions but they are tagged on to my weights sessions. This week I did the following Monday - upper Tuesday- lower & cardio Wednesday- upper Thursday- lower Friday - rest Saturday - upper & 15 min treadmill Sunday - lower & cardio It’s that time of the month to which is bloody frustrating because my weight goes up and I bloat so much!!! I really hope I don’t have it when I do my 12 week photos!! I am absolutely loving this challenge and am really looking forward to the next one!!!!!

    Did a awesome workout this morning and had a pretty good week considering my body was still getting over the flu 🤧 Was feeling a bit down and out this week until I got an encouraging text from my husband which made my day and pushed me to get my head back in to the process 😊 I’ve been extremely bloated and had a bit of a concern with my belly button being sore and bruised. I have a hernia above my belly button which gets a bit sore to. All in all was not a bad week and I totally have my eye on the prize at the end of this challenge!! I’m looking forward to signing up again for the May challenge to!! One week till 8 week check in!! 🏋️‍♀️💯👌💪😍

    Am I doing enough? I think that at this point in the challenge you start to ask yourself am I doing enough? You start to think maybe I should be doing more? This week I have had a cracker of a flu, my son was sick all with gastro since Saturday and these thoughts slipped in my mind. I had my rest day on Wednesday and other than reducing my food due to lack of appetite I’ve actually done pretty good and am proud of my self for actually staying on track and pushing through. I’ve just finished legs and am doing cardio now to so I can maybe have a rest day tomorrow to (I was goning to do cardio tomorrow because I rested on Wednesday) I still feel like crap but I’m happy that I kept up my workouts because I actually feel better for it! Getting back to the am I doing enough? I do the following Monday - legs Tue- upper Wed - cardio (this week was rest) Thur - legs Fri - upper Sat - legs (and cardio this week) Sunday - rest / prep My food is pretty spot on but mixed up (all challenge approved) My clothes are fitting better, I feel better and I’m happy 😊 next week when my body rids this flu I will increase my weights and cardio and make the most of the process. I’m already looking forward to signing up to the next challenge and I also have some exciting stuff happening after the next challenge so going to be a awesome year this year 😍💪👌🏋️‍♀️

    I’m loving my new routine and really enjoying the challenge. Last week I had no staff and had to do my job +3 others I think that if I wasn’t doing the challenge I wouldn’t have coped as well as I did. Having my food prepared already makes it so much easier. I’m fitting clothes better and feeling really good. I absolutely love Saturdays because I get to take a bit longer with my work out which means Increasing weights. I have pinched a muscle in my neck from shoulder press or pull ups which is sore and frustrating but once warmed up it is fine 👌😊 Ready for a new week!!

    Need to go to bed earlier 👌 8pm -8:30 would be perfect 😝 Cardio today, I thought I would have to break up the upper body training but turns out I actually don’t which is great. I’m going to do ab’s with legs though and maybe with upper to but will definitely do with legs incase I run out of time on upper days. I’m a tad tired but just need to get to bed that 30 min earlier and I will be fine. It’s my birthday on the 26th this month and hubby’s 40th on the 8th March. Will be interesting to see what happens on his 40th 🤪 I’m so looking forward to going away after the challenge and showing of my new bikini’s 😍🏖🏋️‍♀️ Don’t miss a day 👍

    Just checked in 😁 I am going to get a chiropractor appointment ASAP as in my side and back photos I’m noticing that one hip is higher than the other. I will be honest here is saying I was expecting a bit more of a difference in photos. 4 kg down and feeling stronger and fitting clothes better is a huge win so far!! The rest will follow in the weeks to come! I’m excited and a tad apprehensive about seeing the new training plans 😬 going shopping soon and then smashing out some food prep 😊😊

    Almost check in time 🤪 Today my workout was slow but great! I upped my weights for the last workout for week 4. Squats 60 - 70kg Deadlifts 25 - 32kg per dumbbell Flys 9 - 11kg dumbbells Shoulder press 9 -11kg dumbbells Feeling pretty spent but have a whole lotta stuff I need to do so going to have a nice cold protein shake and get on to it 😋 Hubby comes home tomorrow, so excited for him to get home! He’s gonna be sore on Tuesday after his workout on Monday!! 🤭 Check in tomorrow for me, excited and hopeful. Trusting the process and bloody enjoying it!!!!

    Almost check in time 😁 Hubby has been away this week so it’s been pretty quiet. Foods been great, working outs really good, sleep has been awesome.... water intake still needs to be improved and I am bloated as anything! (That time again, all ready had it once this month 🤨) I’m a bit sluggish this morning so just doing a easy elevated stroll on the treadmill. Will hopefully get home early enough to go for a bike ride with my little man. I’m starting to notice very subtle changes in my body and am moving quicker in general. I saw my shadow yesterday and thought even my shadow was looking better😂😂 Really excited for the next phase 👌💪👍🏋️‍♀️ I small win that made me super happy yesterday was noticing that I had no VPL under my leggings with normal underwear 😜

    Sunday for me is a reflection day and prep day. Water intake is at the top of my list, this week I will have a min of 3 bottle’s a day not including what I drink in the morning when I’m working out. Food, I have oats every morning. I will alternate with yoghurt 😊 Weighing myself, I will weigh myself once a week on Sunday till the end of the challenge. Every time i weight myself not on Sunday I will do 60 squats 😜 Gotta keep it simple and do what works for you because at the end of the day you need to be able to sustain it 👍 Looking forward to what the next phase in the challenge will bring 💪

    Flex it Friday.... This week has gone super fast and I have realised that I really need to drink more water 🤨 I will be honest here in saying that I feel like I look the same as I did three weeks ago. Very bloated atm but I know I don’t look the same even if it’s just a tiny bit different I feel heaps different. I’m pretty tired at the end of the day but really enjoying the challenge so far. I love the ease of the food plan and just need to push myself with my weights 💪👌😍

    Cardio days.... 🏃🏻‍♀️ That is not me 😂 I walk on cardio days. (For now) Good thing is I get a little bit more of a sleep in because it’s just up, dresses grab water n go. Weights takes a little more prep 😂 Doing well with food, need to eat earlier again so will work on that. Ate lunch at 3pm and was pretty hungry by that stage!! Looking forward to a coffee this morning and my day ahead!! Hubby’s backs feeling better than it was to which is great. We have visitors so will have to do weekly progress photos tomorrow morning. Oh and I was not being carful with my bent over rows and pinched my shoulder but corrected form (head up when it gets heavy on the last reps rookie mistake) Zen spray has been great the past few nights 👍💪

    Sunday = Funday 😁 Meal prep almost done, just need to roll hubby’s protein balls and portion out bolognese sauce made from scratch 👍 Feeling awesome today and really buzzy which is weird. It’s rest day but I really feel like working out which is quite funny. I’m not going to though because it’s rest day and I have stuff inside to do to make the week easier. I made an amazing bolognese sauce with tomato’s, paste, mushrooms, spinach, zucchini, garlic, onion and herbs + mince in the slow cooker and then with the left over tomato and vegetables sauce I coated chicken and baked in the oven and also cooked a chicken stir fry with some chilli added in. Poor hubby’s back is playing up so he’s resting. Hopefully he will be ok tomorrow!! Lunch is done so back to the grind!! Bring on week 3 👍💪😍😁

    Saturday feels.... 👌👍💪😁💯 Stayed in bed this morning with the puppy till 8am 😜 Just finished my workout, upped my weights and made notes on where I can up more Monday. Meal plan going strong, loving the ease of it all and really enjoying process so far! My hips are jiggling less and my work clothes are fitting better. I am no longer driving home wanting to rip my top off cause it’s so uncomfortable. Can’t believe it’s only been 2 weeks 😳

    Sleep! I need to ensure i am in bed by 8:30pm 😂😳 We had to go to school band information night last night till 8:10pm. I quickly made up a salad when I got home from work and had that with a tin of tuna before we left. Was pretty tired when the alarm went off so did a conditioning workout this morning 😊 and will do cardio when I get home because it really doesn’t feel like I’ve done much 💪 This week has gone well, I have not been 100% with the food plan but bloody close to! I have a small sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on our salad but really have been super close to all the allowed foods 😊 Thank goodness it’s Friday 👌 almost week 3!!!!!

    Energy..... is what’s on my mind at the moment I’m happy, very positive and feeling really good. I’m going to bed as early as I can. I would like to go to bed earlier and will work on that 😊 Food is not 100% but it’s damn close - I may not have an apple one day or instead of all my breakfasts I’m having oats blended with blueberries, protein and water. It’s easier for me and works so that’s what I do. I added 10kg on my squats yesterday and a few kg on everything else. Not sore today.... cardio is a 45 - 60 min walk on the treadmill and Hubby is doing fantastic 💕👌💪 Almost week 3!! 😁😁😁 Got a cute new camouflage workout outfit from rock wear the tights are so comfy!!

    Just finishing of my cardio, I was grumpy yesterday and a bit scattered. I’m putting this down to food or lack of eating when I should be not when I can. So today I will be eating when I should eat and will do my best to keep up the water intake to!! Little improvements every day 😁

    Reflecting on the first week and the most noticeable thing that I have found is my attitude. I’m more positive, smiling more and feel happier 😁 I’m sleeping better and waking up more refreshed. 12 more weeks and it’s holiday time ✈️🎢🏖 Conditioning work out and cardio today because I did weights yesterday by mistake I was supposed to do cardio. Sweating up a storm!!!

    Day 4 😊 Had a frustrating day at work had lunch at 3:30pm and was not hungry at dinner time. I ended up having around 100grms of chicken and a huge salad so that was good 😊 yesterday with my weights I had to go light as my muscles were that tight my form was suffering so thought that was the best choice. I’m super happy tomorrow is a public holiday!! Loving having my husband as part of my motivation 💕

    It took me around 1.5 hours to do my work out today but if I’m not to sore I will be .... I will be increasing my weight’s next session on Wednesday 💪 I’m pretty spent and super happy that this week is a short week 👌 can’t wait to eat dinner!! Steak and vegetables, hubby is out doing his work out now and I’m cooking beef stroganoff for our little man’s dinner and getting our salad ready. Really enjoyed my workout today and I can’t wait to get stronger and stronger it’s so motivating 😁😁😁😍

    I honestly couldn’t be happier that my husband is doing the challenge with me!! Already he has helped me get over a few times where I’ve gone let’s just get this or the challenge hasn’t technically started yet so we could have this..... I’m feeling so positive about this and I’m sure that we are going to absolutely smash this challenge together!! So excited 😆 Today I mastered poached eggs for my son’s breakfast and I made a protein shake with oats, 1/2 a banana 1/2 a cup of blueberries, protein and water (so good!!!) got my lunch out of the freezer and going to get the house in order so that we can just do basic daily cleaning and focus on us, our family and bettering ourselves. We have a week trip booked for sea world straight after the challenge finishes and looks like they have a pretty decent gym! Winning!

    Making breakfast and was going to have 2 bits of toast and two eggs and then thought nope should only be having one. 👍 The other night I though to myself “I’m feeling pretty good! Just imagine how good I will feel in 13 weeks time!!” That was a good moment 😊
