Reason to start The Challenge

I have always battled with my weight and have found it very difficult to maintain my weight after having my son. I want a lifestyle change and to achieve my dream body!

What did you like most about The Challenge?

This challenge has completely changed my life and the way I look at food and exercise. I most enjoyed experimenting with the food and the recipes on the plan to make them my own. It really made a difference actually loving what I was eating.

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

The hardest part of the challenge was sticking to the plan day in and day out. It took serious determination and self motivation to just keep going no matter how hungry/tired I was.

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

It has completely changed my life. I have never felt so confident or strong in my life. I can not wait to wear a bikini this summer for the first time in my adult life. It has also changed my sons eating habits and he now enjoys mummy's healthy recipes too!

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

Honestly I looked at the before and after photos of last rounds contestants and thought if they can do it, so can I! There are too many amazing success stories on Maxine's challenge to not just give it 110%! Trust the process and the results will come!

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

I am a little sad this 12 weeks is over but I will be back for the next one in September 2017! Nothing can stop me now!!

We did it ladiesssssss!!! I can't believe it's been 12 weeks! Haven't posted a journal in a few weeks as I have been so sick with 2 rounds of the flu and trying to stay on track. Officially weighing in at 62.2kg - 11.8kg down. Still feel I have a little way to go but am so happy and proud of myself for giving this challange my absolute all. Can't wait to see all of your transformations! Who's in for the next challenge - I am!!

Wow what a week!! Feeling DOMS for the first time in my life this week and am actually taking my rest day today. I have been reading everybody's journals this week, and have found it really inspiring to see everyone else's progress. I also am now a firm believer in trusting the process! The last 3 weeks I feel I am reaping the rewards of all the hard work the first 4 weeks. I am officially down almost 8kg.. 66.6kg this morning! Am hoping to crack the 50s for the first time in my adult life in the next 5 weeks! Bring it onnnn!!

Don't normally do midweek posts but today was too perfect not to mention. 45mins of fasted cardio this morning - 30 mins treadmill intervals, hills and 15mins cross trainer. 50g protein oats, 6 almonds, a green apple, 100g chicken breast with half a cup of brown rice and garden salad, 1 afternoon burn shake! Then found myself back at the gym to do my first ever PT session - 1 hour of shoulders, arms and abs. Came home and had 150g of lean mince rissoles and 2 cups of broccoli! My arms and hands are shaking as I sip my hot night time protein hot chocolate but boy oh boy I feel more in control of my body and mind than I ever have. Bring on tomorrow πŸ™‹πŸ½πŸ‘ŠπŸΌπŸ’ͺ🏼!!

End of week 5 and still don't have my head around the new training plan so signed up to a PT. First session tomorrow morning and I'm looking forward to taking my training to that next level. Nutrition was not the best this week, with a few slip ups but feeling good overall. 5.2kg lost in total now! Bring on the halfway mark!!

Disappointed in myself after this week. I worked so hard for the first 12 days then went down to Melbourne for a wedding and completely blew it. Whilst my diet was ok, I wasn't eating regularly and consumed way to much alcohol. Lesson learnt - staying on track for the next 10 weeks!
