Reason to start The Challenge

I am starting this challenge after watching my sister complete her first Maxine’s challenge in 2017. I saw first hand the results of her challenge where she made the top 10! I thought what she had achieved was amazing and that has inspired me to sign up for this challenge. I’m so excited to train along side Ang and keep each other accountable :)

I am currently studying a fitness course and I am so excited to learn more about fitness, nutrition and my own personal journey!

I’m interested to see how my body will change and how strong I will get. I’m also interested in learning more about training and challenging myself with structure. Im feeling slightly nervous about cutting out alcohol as I love a cold beer or 2 on the weekends but I know I’ll survive :)

What did you like most about The Challenge?

What I liked most about the challenge would have to be the food. All the recipes and the different healthy snacks I got to experiment with. I am so excited to have learnt a few amazing recipes that I can enjoy guilt free. The variety in dinners and lunches always kept me busy and I never was bored with eating. Also I loved that the Get Strong program was plentiful with food and I wasn’t hungry.

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

The hardest thing for me was the mental challenge of knowing what’s right and wrong. I was still having to push past that voice telling me to sleep in just once or eat that piece of chocolate or to take the easy weight option instead of smashing out the heavier one. That being said while I feel it’s the hardest thing - it is also the most rewarding and empowering thing when you don’t give in!

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

The challenge has impacted my life by showing me that whilst life goes on and things happen, there is always time for healthy habits. And the longer you stick to these healthier lifestyle choices that are so easy to follow in the challenge, all the more easy it will be when they do become habits outside of the challenge. The challenge gave me a healthier mindset.

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

Definitely go for it!! There is so much to learn and you will gain a wealth of knowledge about health and fitness and the challenge community is amazing and with you every step of the way. You will not be reaching for your goals alone.

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

I am so happy with my challenge! Kicking my goals, eating delicious new dinners and desserts, training new exercises and finding my favourites, pushing each training session to the max with purpose. I have never felt better or stronger!
