Reason to start The Challenge

I’m a mum of three busy kids who all play representative sports n wife to a beautiful man ... we own three businesses so we are busy!
I have done Maxine’s challenges for a while now and every challenge I do, I learn something new about either myself mentally or physically. Last challenge I did Get Strong for the first time and loved it ! I used to be a cardio bunny so I was well out of my comfort zone. This challenge I’m doing Get Strong again ( I was tossing up to do Program X) I have asked for the help of my mentor Peter Jones and can’t wait. I need someone to push me to my limits but also make sure I continue to love lifting heavy stuff! I don’t lack motivation at all just need someone to guide me with my exercise choices and weight...can’t wait to see what happens to me mentally and physically! 💪🏻🙋🏼‍♀️🙂

What did you like most about The Challenge?

So many things I have learnt this challenge… I have learnt how to lift .. I have learnt proper technique.. I have learnt that it’s not how much you lift but how you lift .. I have learnt that this is MY journey .. no one else’s .. I have learnt that it’s ok to fail because when you fail your learn .. and life is about learning.. learning about myself , my strengths and my weaknesses.. I’ve learnt I don’t need to be a number .. I don’t have to weigh a certain amount (even though I lost 6kg and a whooping 29.5cm😉) I just have to be ME and love ME !

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

The hardest thing of this challenge was juggling life, work and “me” time. My husband and I own three businesses, we have three children ( all playing representative sports) and my “me” time is important. My me time was so important I would have my alarm set for 3:15am .. up to make school lunches, organise tea, pack my fuel for the day and train. I wouldn’t even think about it .. I knew it was important.. my training was making me a better person.. it was making me a stronger person ( inside and out!) and I was loving it! So when you love something you move heaven and earth no matter how hard to continue to make yourself the best human you can be !

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

Oh My Goodness! I look in the mirror and love what I see looking back at me ! I’m strong mentally and physically, I’m happy really happy, I’m the best mum I’ve ever been! My goals I’ve dreamed and now achieved have shown to my three kids anything is possible.. you just have to believe.. believe in yourself.. once you do that .. the rest will come !

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

If you are looking to build your self confidence or you finally want to feel good about yourself and are ready, REALLY ready for change .. join the challenge! Don’t be fooled .. it won’t happen in 12 short weeks ( if only) it’s taken me two whole years to get here today ! Was it hard work .. my word .. did I love it ..OMG yesss.. did I cry .. did I laugh and everything else in between.. YESSSS .. was it worth it YESSSS ! And you’ll even get that fit, strong and healthy body that you always wanted ! What are you waiting for … join the most amazing community.. Maxine’s and Max’s Challenge will change your life !
