Reason to start The Challenge

I started the Challenge in May 2021, coming from a place of pain and a desperate desire to change. I committed to the daily steps needed to make that change and made the top 10. But the achievement was so much more than that. I got my life back and fell in love again with making the healthy choices. So now I am going to take this to the next level, and continue to craft and create the life, the health, the vitality and the body that I deserve.

What did you like most about The Challenge?

I loved the individualised nutrition template and the specialised workout options available within the Get Strong program. They enabled me to really focus in on my goal for the 6 weeks and get to work straight away on achieving this at the outset and all through the 6 week journey. The resources provided around these templates are so supportive and informative - you never feel alone no matter your training environment.

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

I had already made significant changes to my habits and my body in the previous 12 week Challenge and was a little unsure that further demonstrable changes could be made in a shorter period of time. So I knew that I needed to take it to the next level with both my nutrition changes and also my training to continue to see noticeable changes and I just didn’t know that I had it in me to do so. However, in an already jam-packed life I committed to increasing my training, upping my steps along with further tweaks to my nutrition plan. Again this came down to strengthening my mindset - always finding the solution to any problem and knowing that I get to CHOOSE my hard every day. Reaching deep inside myself to resolve EACH DAY to take it to the NEXT LEVEL has been both CHALLENGING but oh so rewarding!

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

It has brought another level of consistent and habitual daily discipline that not only ensures that I prioritise my health and fitness but also spills over into my work habits and also the habits and attitude that my children and family develop around nutrition and fitness.

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

Understand that this is just the beginning of the journey of developing YOU. Nothing in life worth achieving is ever easy but the joy, confidence, satisfaction and personal development that you get is worth the hard work. The knowledge around how to take charge of your health and fitness that you gradually learn in a supported environment is invaluable. I have been part of many health and wellness communities in the past and this is by far the most ‘pay it forward’ environment I have ever been a part of.

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

The Challenge has helped me to shape my future and believe in my ability to achieve again. It has filled my cup every day and brought a peace and satisfaction around being able to give something to myself which ultimately means I can give more to others.
