Reason to start The Challenge

Time to strip some of the COVID Coat and lean up for summer!
I’ve previously done the Challenge and had great results so I know it works. The six weeks appeals to me as I know how hard it is to commit for the full 12 weeks.

What did you like most about The Challenge?

I loved the training, the structure and the challenge community. The new 6 week format is fabulous!

What was the hardest thing about your Challenge?

The hardest thing is the discipline to stick with the nutrition plan when you just want to Eat.All.The.Food! It is as much a mental challenge as it is physical.

What impact has The Challenge had on your life?

I hope that I have shown my children that with discipline, determination and a strong mindset anything is possible.
I have learned to prioritise weight training over running.
Food is fuel. I now think about what my body needs rather than what my mind wants.
Age is not a barrier. I am 48.

What would you say to people who are thinking of doing The Challenge?

My advice is to follow the program, you will get results if you give it 100%.
Prioritise weight training to change your body composition. Aim for at least 10,000 steps a day.
Be strict with your nutrition. Track everything! I believe this is the key to success.
Find yourself a support buddy to keep you accountable.
6 weeks is so doable!

Anything else you would like to tell us about your Challenge?

This is my third challenge and perhaps the most enjoyable. I have loved pushing my body again and nourishing it with healthy food. Did I mention how great the 6 weeks is!
My real challenge, however, has just begun. I am very much all or nothing and I need to find a way to move forward and find a balance. As with my newfound sobriety (283 days), I do not want an end date for my fitness journey. Time to build some new muscles!
